Billing FAQ
Lomio uses a hybrid billing model: a subscription plan that sets your base credit allowance, plus optional credit packs for high-volume production months.
Credits vs. subscription plans
Lomio billing has two components that work together:
- Subscription plan — a monthly or annual plan that determines your feature access level and includes a monthly credit allocation. Plans are workspace-scoped.
- Credits — the consumable currency used to pay for AI generation tasks. Credits are deducted from your workspace balance each time a generation task completes. Your monthly plan allocation is topped up at each billing cycle renewal.
Think of your subscription as the platform access fee, and credits as the fuel that powers your AI generation work. If you burn through your monthly allocation before renewal, you can purchase additional credit packs at any time.

Lomio offers the following plan tiers (names and limits may vary — see pricing page):
| Plan | Typical use | Key features |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | Individual creators and exploration | Monthly credit allocation, limited concurrent tasks, basic generation models, 1 workspace member. |
| Creator | Solo professionals and small teams | Higher credit allocation, more concurrent tasks, access to advanced models, up to 5 workspace members. |
| Studio | Production studios and content teams | Large credit allocation, priority queue, all model tiers, unlimited workspace members, audit log, advanced analytics. |
| Enterprise | High-volume studios and enterprise teams | Custom credit volumes, dedicated infrastructure, SLA, custom model fine-tuning, invoiced billing. Contact sales. |
What consumes credits?
Credits are consumed when AI generation tasks complete successfully. Failed or cancelled tasks (before execution begins) do not consume credits.
| Task type | Credit intensity |
|---|---|
| Script generation (standard) | Low — Medium |
| Script generation (long-form / multi-scene) | Medium |
| Storyboard generation | Medium |
| Dialogue rewrite | Low |
| Translation | Low — Medium |
| Image prompt generation | Very low |
| Frame image generation (per frame) | Medium — High |
| Video clip generation (per frame) | High |
| LoRA training | High — Very high |
| Audio / voice-over synthesis | Low — Medium |
Exact credit costs are shown as an estimate on the generation panel before you submit a task. Actual cost may vary slightly if the output length differs from the estimate.
Checking your credit balance
Your current credit balance is visible in the top bar of the studio and in Workspace Settings → Billing → Credit Balance. The billing page also shows your credit usage history broken down by task type and date.
Purchasing credit packs
If your monthly allocation runs low, purchase additional credits at any time:
- Go to Workspace Settings → Billing.
- Click Buy Credits.
- Select a credit pack size. Larger packs offer better value per credit.
- Complete payment via Creem (credit card or other supported payment methods). Credits are added to your balance immediately after payment confirmation.
Purchased credit packs do not expire and do not reset at billing cycle renewal. They remain in your balance until used.
Upgrading your plan
- Go to Workspace Settings → Billing → Plan.
- Click Upgrade Plan and select the new tier.
- Review the pricing and confirm. Upgrades take effect immediately. You are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period.
Downgrading a plan is effective at the end of the current billing period. If your usage exceeds the lower plan's limits after downgrade, some features may be restricted until you top up credits or upgrade again.
Annual billing
Annual plans are billed once per year and typically offer a discount compared to monthly billing. Credits are allocated monthly even on annual plans — your monthly allowance is topped up each month on the anniversary of your annual plan start date.
Payment methods and Creem
All payments are processed by Creem, Lomio's payment provider. Supported payment methods include major credit and debit cards. Creem handles PCI-DSS compliance — Lomio never stores your card details.
Payment receipts are emailed to the workspace owner's Google email address and are also available in Workspace Settings → Billing → Invoices.
What happens if my workspace runs out of credits?
Generation tasks cannot be submitted when the workspace credit balance reaches zero. Any tasks already in the queue will be paused. Purchase a credit pack or wait for the next billing cycle renewal to resume operations. Tasks paused due to insufficient credits can be retried once credits are available.
Credit expiry
- Monthly plan credits — expire at the end of each billing cycle. Unused monthly credits do not roll over.
- Purchased credit packs — do not expire.
- Promotional / bonus credits — expiry is specified at the time of the promotion. Check the credit balance details page to see expiry dates on each credit bucket.
